LFTI

A platform that carries a class — or a whole school — through a participatory appraisal process, from collecting data to designing the future.

LFTI supports participative methodologies in schools. Students collect their own data, collate it, present it, and use it to design what comes next — a student-voice and school-innovation driver rather than a survey tool.

It runs at two scales. Small: a single classroom activity, the sort of thing that fits into a supply maths day. Large: a week of workshops run across a school, perhaps three times a year.

The architecture The Spine LFTI is a small general-purpose node graph editor with a participatory education seed planted in it. Which parts are spine, which are seed, and how to replant the essence in another domain.

This project page is doing double duty as a test: rather than a blog of finished pieces, it is a live surface for the documentation of a running project — the architecture note above, the build prompts each layer was written from, and the reference material underneath. Multi-dimensional, and eventually editable in place.
