Before Time and Space
An open, exploratory model of how reality is layered: the same three-step pattern at every level, traced back towards what comes before time and space.
Recursive Order: an exploratory general model, not a scientific theory. It asks one question: what comes before time and space? It tries to reach that question only through things that can be checked.
Its working claim is that every level of nature has the same anatomy. There is a field, its change, and the change of that change, and these resolve into something material. That material then becomes the field of the next level. Where one level cannot hand over to the next there is a “throat”, a point where the old description stops working. The rule is: this side of the throat, derive it; past the throat, say that you are past it.
How it is built
- Frame: the model, the classification sieve, the kinds of dimension and the conventions that govern every page.
- Realm: the casebook. Every case is placed on a grid of law against composition, across engineering, flow, waves, matter, particles, spacetime and geometry.
- Life: the living-systems strand. Its levels are levels of replicator, and its throats are the major transitions in evolution.
- Traditions: the spiritual insight of the world’s civilisations, read in historical order, each scored against a shape fixed before any of them was read.
- Origins: every earlier document and dated note, kept unchanged.
Every claim carries a marker: load-bearing, parked, retired or unverified.
Where it stands
Active work. The largest open question is why the three steps end in something material.
